I love this time of year !

We just got back from Louisiana. It was a great week ! We got to visit with our family and eat some great Louisiana cuisine. Here is a great pic of me and my sister. 3 out of our 8 kids pictured, yes between the 2 of us we have 8 kiddos :)

My political views

It is time for me to put in my two cents. Even though the election is over, there is still a lot of political chatter going on. I will be the first one to tell you that I LOVE a good debate. I enjoyed debating with my liberal friends pre-election and still enjoy a good debate about the current political issues. The one thing I loathe is the ideal "that everyone is wrong but me". If you truly think you are 100% right then let me be the first to burst your bubble. There are always 2 side to every situation. Now that Barack Hussein Obama is president I think it is imperative that we come together as Americans. Am I happy that Obama won the election, no. Will I support his presidency, yes. It is my duty as a Christian AND an American to do so. It is your duty as well. I am so angry to see the "chatter" about Obama being assassinated. As if the assassination of an American president could possible be a good thing. If you can not voice your opinion in an intelligent, rational way then please just be quiet. The best way to sum up what I am trying to say is this...................

1 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. 4 For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. 6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing. 7 Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

November

This is one of my favorite months of the year. No, it isn't because it is my birthday month :) I just love Fall. The weather is so perfect and the scenery is beautiful. Living in Arkansas I get to see some of the most beautiful views. The leaves are changing and God's presence is obvious in every ounce of nature. How can any one doubt his existence ?  The complexity and beauty of life did not just "happen" and to say that it did is an insult to our existence. Well I am off to knit a hat :)

Well we are finally settled in our awesome new house. I could not be happier :) God has had his hand over us the entire time. He cleared the way and WOW what a view :) I will seriously miss our family and friends, but dont worry we will be back for Thanksgiving !

Little Rock here we come !

Well is it official we are moving to Little Rock. God is completely in control here ! I will miss my family and friends, but I am so excited about the adventure awaiting me.

God's Will

I have a tendency to crawl back into my comfort zone when I lose focus. I think that God is trying to pull me out of my box. I guess the question is am I going to go willingly or will I fight????

I'm BACK !

I am back from Houston. What a great mini-vacation. I was able to meet with all of the ladies in my MOPS Zone. What a great group of women ! I really think this is going to be a great MOPS year. I can't wait to begin !!!

Houston here I come

Tomorrow I leave for my MOPS training. I am so excited ! I can't wait to meet all of the ladies and see what God has in store for the upcoming MOPS year. I hope to be able to blog while I am there, depends on the Wifi capabilities of the hotel. If not I will return with pics on Monday :) Have a great weekend everyone !!!!

AWESOME DAY !

What a great day ! First we had our family BBQ, so much food YUMMY YUMMY Next we had our 4th celebration at church. What a great time. Slip-n-slide for the kids, sack races, egg toss, watermelon eating contest and finally an awesome fireworks show. Next we were off to our friends house for more fireworks and some sushi WOOHOO Glorious day ! Thank you God for this wonderful country.  I hope everyone had a wonderful day !

Cingular Comercial ????

We had a Mario Kart Marathon the other night. The kids had a great time. Gotta love the Wii. I snapped this pic during one of the races and later I realized that the kids looked just like one of those Cingular Wireless comercials, you know the one where everything looks like the signal bars. Too funny huh :) Notice the blockade in front of the tv, the kids kept getting closer and closer.

The baby blankets that just won't end

Ok so I started 2 baby blankets. One I am crocheting and one I am knitting. I feel like I have been working on them FOREVER. At this rate the only babies that I will see use them are my future GRANDCHILDREN lol

VBS

OK VBS is almost over and I am so sad :( I fall in love with these kids every summer. I really do wish we could have VBS twice a summer. I have such a great group this year. I love their spirit. I can see a wonderful future in all of them! My prayer is that the seeds of salvation were planted this week and will grow and produce fruit soon !

Did you ever have one of those days........

You know those days were you wake up and realize that life is perfect? You are in the exact place in life you want to be. Surrounded by people who love you...... Well today is that day. I am in love with my life. God has granted me favor beyond my wildest expectations. I am married to my best friend. He is the love of my life and spoils me like you wouldn't believe :) I have 3 beautiful, healthy, smart children. I am blessed with the ability to be a stay at home mom. I have a wonderful group of girlfriends. WOW what more could a girl want :)

School Projects

When the kids started school I knew that it was inevitable that we would have to do the "school projects" with them. What I didn't realize was how awesome my dear hubby was. We have had 2 projects this year and he has went above and beyond the call of duty on each! The first was a Mardi Gras float for Lainey. In the pic it may just look like a normal float, but what you can't see is that he has made it blink. When she was in the parade she just flipped a switch and BAM she was blinking. It was so cute. Needless to say she won First Place for the whole school :) The next project was to build a Leprechaun trap for St. Patrick's Day. This one was for Will. A picture wouldn't do so I have a YouTube video of it so you can get the full affect :)

ok I have to confess I have a terrible addiction. Oh sin thy name is Big Brother LOLOLOLOL What is it about this crazy show that I just cant get enough of??

rain rain go away.........

but not really. I love the sound of the rain. A down pour started last night around midnight and wow what a great night's sleep I got ! Of course this means I am stuck in the house today, but that is ok. As long as it drys up soon, I have MOPS tomorrow. I hate dragging the kids out in a storm. hmmmmm I guess I can't have it both ways huh, I can't love the rain but then want it to go away for my convenience.........or can i  ;)

My email about Playtex Sippy Cups

I never in a million years thought I would send an email like this, but I also never woke up to a thin sheet of plastic in my baby’s mouth! You heard right he had a thin sheet of plastic in his mouth. After a mommy moment of FREAKING OUT! I had to figure out where in the world it came from! And the culprit is….. HIS SIPPY CUP.  I had no idea that Playtex  puts a thin layer of plastic coating on top of the picture to protect it. Well my 17 month old figured out how to peal it off! I have only had the cup for a couple of months, and it has only been washed in the dishwasher. Now that I have inspected all my (6) Playtex cups I realize that only the 2 with the Cars logo has the plastic film.  I am attaching pic and posting this on my blog. I can’t stop crying, as a mom the thought that my baby could have choked and died alone is too much ! PLEASE CHECK YOUR SIPPY CUPS
